Create and edit promotions

In the shop module you can create promotions, specific to a category/subcategory or brand, for a given period and defining whether it is a fixed price promotion or a fixed discount.

Requirements to be able to carry out promotions:

Steps to create, edit and modify promotions:

  1. Go to the drop-down menu on the left-hand side, and within the SHOPS module click on PROMOTIONS.
  2. You will see a screen with the list of promotions you have done, to create a new one click on NEW PROMOTION.
  3. You will be taken to a screen where you will have to fill in the information requested to set up the promotion:
  4. Name: Name you want to give to the promotion.
  5. Public Name: Public name that you want to appear on the customer's ticket.
  6. Fixed Price: If a fixed price is applied to the products in the promotion, e.g. €19.99.
  7. Fixed discount: If a percentage discount is applied to the products of the promotion, for example 20%. If a promotion has a fixed price, a fixed discount cannot be applied, just as if a promotion has a fixed discount, a fixed price cannot be applied.
  8. Start and end date: You can decide from which day the promotion starts and when it will end.
  9. Activate min/max restrictions (optional): When we enable this option, we can define that the promotion is applied depending on the quantity of items purchased by the customer:
    • Minimum quantity: the minimum number of items the customer has to purchase for the promotion to apply.
    • Maximum quantity: the maximum number of items that can go into the promotion.
    • Example 1: if we want the promotion to be applied when the customer buys more than 2 items, we will only put a 2 in minimum quantity and nothing in maximum quantity.
    • Example 2: if we want the promotion to be applied when the customer buys 2 articles, but if he buys a third one, the promotion will not be applied forcing him to buy a fourth product, we will have to put 2 in minimum quantity and 2 in maximum quantity.
  10. 4. At the bottom of the screen, we must select the condition that will make an article to be included or not in this promotion. To do this, we can define the condition according to shop, category, subcategory, brand, season or product:

    1. Shops: set of shops that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.
    2. Categories: set of categories to be included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.
    3. Subcategories: set of subcategories that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.
    4. Brands: set of brands that are included (left-hand selector) or excluded (right-hand selector) from the promotion.
    5. Seasons: set of seasons that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.
    6. Products: set of explicit products within the promotion.
    7. Excluded products: set of explicit products that are excluded from the promotion.
